Disney’s Club Penguin to launch magazine in UK

From the virtual frozen world to the not so warm real world UK. Disney’s Club penguin has been a phenomenal success, building popularity in the young online entertainment market. One of the hooks with Club penguin is that the game / world is free to play. However you can upgrade by purchasing credits. For me as a parent, I’ve opted to keep it free.

From the 9th of February in the UK DIsney is launching a Club Penguin magazine. The magazine will work as a stand alone publication, but will also have an element of cross over. In side the issues there will be voucher codes to redeem online. It is this element that is going to be monitored. The sales of the issue would usually make a publisher happy, but it’s the numbers of codes redeemed that Disney will grade upon it’s success.
